Hey guys, I just picked up a 10 cent piece for fractional currency to give away for my March Madness contest, and I had a couple questions about it. 1) It looks like it is labeled wrong to me. This looks like a 4th issue not a 3rd issue. If you guys agree, is there anything that Pcgs would do about reholdering it with the correct information? 2) This is my first piece of graded currency, and the first thing that I noticed was what appeared to be some type of oil in the holder, creating various rainbow patterns in the holder. Is this normal or does it pose a threat to the note? Thanks for any help with these questions, comments on the note, and be sure to check out the contest section for a change to win it!
That is a nice piece. Yes, it is a mislabeled 4th issue. Reading their policy, send it in for a free re-holder with proper remarks.
I think it is interesting that it is mislabled! I would rather have it that way as an error by the TPG. Very nice prize. I will have to check out the contest!
PCGS has some real sloppy mutants, slabbing the coins. Look at the nice big oily fingerprint, they left on my gold piece. Once a 69, now a joke.
Thanks for the input guys, I also liked the fact that if was mislabeled, but since it is potentially going to someone who wouldn't know about paper money I thought it would be a good idea to get it corrected. I suppose I will leave it until I see who wins and then give them the choice if they want to send it in or leave it.
