I am not going to dispute what you say, but I do remain skeptical.:foot-mouth:

You know, I just can't understand what all the "fuss" is about. As a collector, I simply buy what I like. True, I admit that I am not a hobby purist, but I enjoy collecting just as much as anyone else. Surely I am not alone with this opinion!?! Buying what one likes, whether it's a reproduction marked "COPY," a "fantasy" coin like Mr. Carr's 1964 Peace Dollar, or his 2009 overstruck ASE proof, or a silver, gold or copper round IMO contributes to the growth of the "hobby." Maybe a purist would have more specific or well-defined meanings for the precious metal or coin collecting "hobbies." That's great! To each his/her own! I just know that I enjoy collecting, and am very, very pleased with the additions to my collection that Mr. Daniel Carr has made possible!

I, for one, never meant to dispute that it's an interesting coin. I've mentioned elsewhere that I've bought two silver fraudulent mercury dimes from a Chinese manufacturer. I bought them because I wanted examples, but I'm really kind of fond of'em.

There were three of these on ebay and the listing arnt there anymore. I wonder if they got flagged for something......like selling a counterfit? but there are two up there now with a buy it now of 550.

I vented on the other thread about people bashing these coins, so no need here. I will just say, I really like it. Not 550 worth of like, but maybe 150. Way cool. And if the ignorant US govt would unwad their panties, and back off of the we will confiscate them thing, I guarantee a good number of the REAL 1964 Peace dollars would crop up.

If they could find a way to make a ton of money off of it, they would do it.
