It appears this note flew quite a few miles in just 3-4 days !! The note only has two names on it , a Shigeru Yokota on the front with the address and Bruno Kulmacz on the rev. as you can see in the pics . Now the Shigeru Yokota could have some significance to it , if it is the right Shigeru Yokota whos 13yr old daughter was kidnapped by N. Koreans in 1977 (just do a google/youtube search on the name if interested) !! The signature on the back of Bruno Kulmacz , assuming he is the pilot who may have carried this note on its trip !! Only the I could find was a letter written for another serviceman was signed Captain Bruno F. Kulmacz, Commander USAF written in the 50's-60's !! I am at a loss as to the Yokota sig. and would like to know what the Japanese writing is , I'm guessing his name but any of you with translation help are more then welcome to help out . I've added a few pics of the places this note hit in the trip it took so many years ago , I thought it was a neat note to score !!

Now that is darn cool research there!

Yes, indeed, the characters on the face are as you suspected, the name, Yokota Shigeru. The character for family name Yokota, 横田, appears to be the same as that of Megumi Yokota. Not sure if its a direct link though.

I would love to know if this is actually Megumi's Father , it would be so cool and a super great piece of history with some history, if that makes sense !! I have read numerous articles on the kidnapping and watched videos on the story , a crazy and sad story !!

It would be interesting if you were able to reach out to the family in some respectful manner of inquiry. All of these details of a families life can help strengthen their story and plight. As you probably know, the topic is a very active one in Japanese culture and politics.
