On date and especially the “D” on obv and upper on rev doubling. Odd coloring on edge of building etc. Could be environmental maybe?
Not a Doubled Die variety. Common Die Deterioration doubling. Worthless doubling. Split plating issue around memorial building exposes the grey zinc underneath the copper plating. Linear plating blisters in front of Lincoln's face and everywhere else.
Pam, you know that many plating issues are seen as errors by some, but you've looked at enough now that you should know.
@PamR …you should also know by now that if you suspect doubling you need to verify the variety at Variety Vista and/or Wexler before posting. Doing so is appropriate due diligence. Also your medium close-up was out of focus and your extreme close-up was horribly pixelated. There is no way to use those pix to assess your coin. …imo…Spark
Thank you. I’ll stick to the cracks and laminations. I’m still out of my league. I can hear my dad now, sell sell sell! Lol!
cropped a bit too much… like paddy always says, if you have to use this or that, not worth seeing or looking. Still pretty lol. Thanks!
