Thank you Merc I didn't know what google was at first but I figured it out ;). It looks like mine are either type I or III but my eyes are playing tricks on me now. I will look at them again another time. Thank you for the help!

I just got back in to collecting and searching at the beginning of winter figured it would be a good way to pass the winter away here in the northeast. I decided to search for wheatie's. I started off by going to the bank every Friday and getting a box of pennies (2500) and finding a average of 25 wheaties. Then i increased too two boxes every Friday. Then as the winter got colder and longer I was up too 4 boxes (10,000) every Friday. Here are some of my findings 1916,1918,1919,21,23,24,25,28,29,30 and if anyone whats 1944 or 1955 roll's I got them. You sure learn fast what year's the mint made a lot of pennies. The one thing I did learn over the winter is how hard it is to find "S" mint mark's. I am going tomorrow to pick up 81 roll's of wheat's from a person that has shown that he does not no what he has! Wish me luck!

Thanks for the info Bob. I have limited time to search for the next several months. Debating if the dimes would be worth my time or not. I may give a bag a try for the fun of it.

David.....how did you do 30 boxes in two days. What banks would order that many. I assume you had several, but that is a boatload!!!

I did a third box today. It was much better than the first two in which I had only 1 keeper. This box had
1980, 82, 83, 84 proofs with deep mirrors still visible in all of them
    3 40%ers
    2 90% 1964 Kennedys

Then, the best find of all.....I wore a pair of shorts to go get my last box.....a pair I hadn't worn in a while.....and I found $500 in the pocket. I guess I was going to buy a box a while back, and didn't get around to it and lost track of the $. It is weird because I don't remember doing this at all.

3 CWR of halves from my favorite bank, no silver, but two heavily fingerprinted proofs (72 and 73). This is the same bank where I found two (much nicer) proofs a few weeks ago. The helpful teller said she'd try to order some rolls for me next week.

Box of Pennies & Nickels today.

-Pennies scored 15 wheats, oldest was 1919 (pretty beat up though).
    -About 30% Copper box.
-Also got 3 wheats out of the 15 for my folder.

    Nickels.
Lots of pre-1960, but nothing for my folder. I'm getting to the point where all I have left is all low-mints. I'm only doing Jefferson's from 1938-1961.
Did find 3 more War Nickels though.

Might try and grab a box of quarters before I head out tomorrow.

If you do a box of quarters, I'm curious to see if you find any silver. I tried nearly $500 in CWR and was skunked, save for 18 possibly MS quarters from the Bicentennial years, '78, and '79. If you find even a single silver quarter in there; I may try to go through a box next time.

Picked up two boxes of halves today. The first had 1 90%, 8 40%'s, 1 clad proof, and two nifc's. I'll take it. Will check the second box later.

I just finished 8 boxes of halves, 1 box of pennies and 1 box of nickels.

    I found 3 cool nickels, pictured below. 1910, 1937 and a 2000S

    I found 1 90% and 1 40% half in the 8 boxes. I also found a 2004S clad half (pic below)

    Nickels - Front.jpg Nickels back.jpg 2004 S Half.jpg

My total after $7500 in halfs is 6 - 90% and 4 - 40% (not as good as some here, but - it' silver, so I'll take it).

I have a question to everyone on the 2004 S half and the 2000 S nickel: They are proof coins, but they have some nicks on them, since they have been in circulation. What does that do to the value? For example, I saw on one site that a 2004 S Half was listed at $ 25.00. What does the type of damage shown in the picture do to the value of this 2004S half?

    Any input is appreciated.

My best score ever was off a dime bag. 60 silver dimes in $635 or so dollars. Pretty fun. I've found more mercs in rolls, though.

Daship, I've only found one V-nick and I've gone through like $5200 in nickels. Heck of a find.
