What is the coin you would say: That is UGLY! I'll keep it simple. Mine is the Maryland and the Pennsylvania state quarters (I hate almost all of the state quarter designs)
Most modern coins for me... State quarters. Interesting idea, but soul-less execution IMO. When it comes to 'classic' coinage, there is very little that is unattractive. My least favorite, but far from 'ugly' would be the Liberty nickel. Modern coinage just lacks so much...
william henry harrison presidential coin. not a coinworthy sculpture http://coins.thefuntimesguide.com/images/blogs/W-H-Harrison-Obverse.jpg
Franklin half comes to mind. None of the Washington/Lincoln/Jefferson/Roosevelt/Kennedy really do anything for me, either. I dislike the Ike obverse, but the reverse saves it for me. Oh, yeah, and the incuse Indian gold. What were they thinking?
I'm not crazy about the statehood quarters either, in fact I only like 1. My least favorite is Maryland, what a dog that is.
The Presidential $1s. Every obverse I've seen looks unfinished or something. I'm not a big fan of that cheesy colored gold tone either.
Im collecting each new sac. with the new reverse but I agree, the 2011 one is my least favorite so I have been dragging my feet on buying it.
all state quarters, except for maybe Connecticut. The tree reminds me a of an Ansel Adams photo in the winter with lots of snow. Other than that, I hate looking at the state quarters.
