He sent myself and my two daughters standing liberty quarters free of charge to help boost my girls interest in the hobby! You don't find many people like that anymore! They were super excited and jumping up and down! We sure owe you one ROBEC!
It used to be fun to find those and other coins from that era in circulation and rolls from the bank. In the early 1960's You could almost always find at least one or two obsolete coins in a roll. I hope your girls have as much fun searching and finding as I did.
I'd imagine that's because of silver being just that; silver and not something special that's worth over face value as it is today.
Kudos to Bob! Way to promote the hobby! Hey, my kids are interested in toned MPL's. Can you send them a couple? LOLOLOL
I have received some 'presents' from some cointalkers myself, there are some very nice people here. Not all, but there are some.
Here is an image of the 1925 I had forgotten about. A circulation find from the 1960's......one of the few I found that still had a date. I'm very happy you and your daughter like it Corey.
and since I am very sad that I don't have a VDB MPL yet to complete my set, could you make me happy and send me an xtra one! Thanks! Props for the good deed - what comes around goes around. good karma!
