Hi all! So, last night I had my busyeye on a $10.00 worth of circulated rolled pennies, and to my pleasant surprise got a 2000 WAM! Woohooo! After finding 2 1998 WAM's in a matter of months from each other the 2000 was sweet. :hail: Just sharing!
LOL!! I'm gettin a good feeling on the 99....LOL!! Lately my suprises have been coming in two's. Did I mentioned I also came across 2 1997 dd ear within weeks months of each other too. (I've posted). Anywhoo, Im getting a good feeling on the 99 (wishful thinking) but still a good feelin! LOL!!! I have twin 9 year olds boy/girl...goodness even my breakfast eggs when I crack to fry them often come in two's...thats gotta mean something LOL!!! I just have a feeling something good and big is gonna happen and its coming in two. LOL!!!
No way! That's great! How fun! Thrilled for ya! I'm really enjoying collecting so pardon my excitement. LOL!
Sounds like you hit the motherload!, I must have searched 10 boxes by now and not a single one! All I find is CAMs
Went through $75.00 worth and I'm pretty sure this was in the last or next to last roll. After all that time looking I'm a little fuzzy on the details. After looking at prices on ebay I don't think I'll be doing that again anytime soon.On a more positive note, I found quite a few wheats and pulled $12-15 worth of copper out of the batch.
To clarify, these are what is common. The big ones you're looking for are as follows; 1992 CAM (Ultra rare, 3 or 4 known) 1992-D CAM (Very rare, less than 50 known) 1998 WAM (2nd rarest Wide AM) 1999 WAM (Rarest Wide AM... less than 1k known last I saw some numbers on it.) 2000 WAM (Most common, I've personally found 5 of these now.)
I'm sorry I just noticed your request. I will post pics of both the 1998 and the 2000 in the tomorrow, way past my bedtime. =) have a good night!
Thank you. :thumb: I am a visual learner more than a not-visual one. <---did that make sense? Sorry, ADD strikes again...:foot-mouth:
Believe it or not, I've searched 3 box (7500) and not one WAM! It's what I get living so close to the Denver Mint! About +95% in an average box are 'D' minted...
Good Morning! It's all good. I am also learning. I too need to have a visual of what I'm reading. I have independently gone and researched alot on website but Im most thankful for everyone on CT as they have been great in teaching me and referring me to websites I might otherwise have missed. For instance: http://doubleddie.com/ or http://www.lincolncentresource.com/priceguide.html or http://www.coppercoins.com/advsearch.php Another thing I've been doing is tuning in to CT every chance I get to look and read on what others are saying to one another and the terminology of things (ddo, md etc) is sticking. I have my boo ks etc. but always good to come in to CT keep reading and let others comment back to you and it begins to stick. Anywhoo here are my pics of my obverse & reverse 1998 WAM (to the left and middle) and my 2000 WAM (on the right). The single cent pic is a regular AM...meaning the A & M in America are close and often touching each other. And on the WAM they are far apart from each other. 1998, 1999 2000 are found to have WAM's. (wide A M). Hope this helps and CT people if I'm wrong bout something please correct me. Thanks! Keep clicking on my pics to get a closer zoomed look see.
Wow...bum! But...sometimes it can be a blessing tho Im sure...you must have positive results too living so close. What has been your best find living so close to the D Mint? Any? Yet I can understand your frustration, we get most Philly's up here in New England. Sure we get D mints but the Phillly's rule up this way...from my experience anyway.
I guess I can say it was finding a '95-D DDO? I did visit DC about a month ago, and the first thing I did was hit up a local bank for ten rolls, and I could not believe all the Philly's that laid before me in the hotel room! hmmm I wonder if we visiting San Fran that we might find a bunch of proofs in circulation LOL j/k... I'm thinking about a trip to Carson City/Virgina City/etc this summer, and I'll let you know what I find? ...The roads might be lined with 18 ... 89's....
