You need to remove the word "Valentine" in the title of your thread...and THAT would be more accurate. Wow! What an awesome day. -LTB
You beat me to it. Hello Dimefreak, I really enjoyed your photo story. All I got was a box of chocolates in the shape of a heart.
What a day! That is pretty wild that you found a 1921-P Merc just laying around inside an old cash register, pretty rare find. But that 1940-S is truly stunning!
I want a wife like yours, I want a mom like yours and I want friends like yours! You are one lucky guy!
Congrats! Great find on that dime by the way, especially with you being a dime collector. Of all coins, of course, it was a KEY DATE Mercury Dime! What are the odds?!
OMG Dimefreak, That coin is totally awesome. I can't believe you got that for Valentine's Day. I have been lurking on most of the forums for the past few months and I saw a photo of that coin by airplanenut on the PCGS forum. This has to be the same coin, how many 1940-S MS68*'s can there possibly be? http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=26&threadid=803294 Does it look as incredible in hand as the photo? Mark
They are the same coin and it does look just as nice in hand! Or should I say it did look just as nice in hand as it seems a USPS worker is now enjoying it along with $2000 worth of other coins. Sorry just had to rant as it seems it has been lost in the mail.
