Just thought I'd make this thread as a little bit of fun to find out HOW MUCH people are actually willing to spend on just one US currency note, instead of a wide variety for the same price. I personally know of a few people who do not like to spend more then $200.00 on just one note because they feel the market is too try and it would be a bad sell for future business, which I DO NOT completely agree with...so please state your opinions on the subject, and I am eager to know what is the pride-and-joy of your collection :smile

I think it was about $140 or so but that might have been for a matching pair.

Understandable. I just saw the same type thread on the "Coin Forum" asking a similar question but having to do with "Most expensive COIN", but whoever feels they are safe explaining what their answer is, im letting them feel free to do this.

I heard that those Disney dollars can command a premium based upon the year they were issued.

it depends on the note i have put bids on many 1899 5 dollar notes up to 250 but still don't have one
but i would never pay that for a star note but to some there are some notes they just have to have even if it just to look at

WOW! One of the things I learned is not to show or say how much is in my personal collection. I did it before and I decided not to do that no more.
