I have these two coins that I'm not fully sure about. One is (appears to be) a 1968 gold dime (or a gold platted dime) and the other is a 1987 penny. Heres some pictures, I'm wondering if the dime is even worth anything and how much the penny is worth.

The dime is likely plated or was in a science experiment (don't know for sure it works on dimes but I bet it does).
The penny looks like heat damage to me.

The penny is actually very shinny in person, you really think it can be heat damaged? The dime I can easily agree with, but maybe the picture for the penny isn't good.

Does the reverse look the same?

No, it's shinny but not toned.

moneyer12 i just love UK coins.......

i would throw them both back in the bargain box where they belong. i have a 1956s wheatie in uncirculated with full mint lustre and i love it. if it was heavily toned i would certainly be looking for a better example.
