There was a carpenter here who got tired of getting ripped off for his air compressors, so he mounted a chip on one. His truck was stolen and the police were able to track the chip to a chop shop based in a residential area inside a 3 car garage. Kind of a one man operation, I guess. But an active device costs $64 on line and has a magnetic back, rechargeable battery, etc. They are pretty small. You can also buy the tracking device that attaches to your computer and follow it yourself.
Guess your right there my friend. We could always use this as an example of what not to do, and what to do and do it right to keep safe. I just feel so aweful for the guy. And someone quoted that the bank turned him away... ??? hmm I wonder who that person was at the bank and wonder if thats a place to start investigating. One just never knows if a clerk or other employee might have overheard the conversation over at the bank. And goodness I hope this guy (victim) didnt make up the story. Now that would really be bad but I sure hope that aint the case either.
How sad..... This is why even my 12 year old has his own toy behind his room door. Why would anyone keep so much bullion at home?
Another breach in the wall of secrecy. I just don't know how word of this could kept quiet. Somebody had to install his safe even, or at least sell him one, and possibly deliver it.
Not if he buys the silver under the name of an LLC. Anyone can establish an LLC with its own tax id and po box..
