Really common date,even condition wise,50 cents at the most.You can buy BU examples of these for $1-$2 all day.

Larry - @alurid is one of our most knowledgeable collectors/contributors here at CT. Time and interaction should bear this out. As members note, it's a common coin in nice condition. Worthy of being kept in a collection for most folks. But not a high value specimen. That said, be sure to check your mintmark for an RPM. Good luck!!

It happens from time-to-time. Sometimes even the best of us drop quick one-liners that might appear curt or abrasive. Especially when the news delivered is less than might be expected. We've all been there. We just need to remind ourselves that folks aren't out to get us.

No, that is not true. It is a common coin that can be bought for 2 to 10 cents in a roll or a coin shop. Someone paid to have it in a slab and it still didn't get more than a dollar. Think about it, the coin is not rare and wont garner a premium in any venue.
Well, I just viewed the 1956 D coin that referred me to, and no wonder it only Fletched a Dollar. Look at its condition. Its NOTHING like the one that I posted, aside from being produced the same year. Also, that was 9 years ago.
My Red Book has it at a buck three eighty in pretty clean condition. But it's better to look at auction prices because sometimes the Red Book prices are a little optimistic. That means they're on the high side. Just so you know. Can we see a picture of it? If it fletched a dollar yours ought to fletch a lot more probably I'd think. I hate to ask again but have you a picture of it so we can see it too? We really love RPMs. That's "repunched mint marks." Again, just so you know.
Larry condition is the key. And that coin graded better than yours would if you sent yours for grading. Yes, eye appeal has a bit to do with value. There isn't anything special about a common circulated coin. Whether it is in a slab or not. If you could show us that it is an RPM. That certainly would add a small premium. No one is trying to kick your coin we deal with folks every day that think they are going to be rich from a common wheat cent or even Indian head cent. We are collectors on this site and try to give the truth whether you want to believe us or not.
