A couple of fairly recent slabs: Start with a VG-8 1913 S in G-4 a 1913 S in AG-3 another, this one had an hour's wear and just missed a G-4: and for variety, here is an NGC:
Yea Frank , I can really tell the difference between the AG-3 and G-4 , It's amazing one is so , so very much better than the other . LOL Still I like well used Barbers , and I can't see how they saw a difference , Can you see it in hand . Rusty
I like all VG 10 Barbers a great deal - I used to own a VG 10-F 15 set of Halves and it was a lot of fun to put together. I would now only own the top three Quarter keys in G4 if I was hard pressed to locate a nice looking VG 8 - or VG 10. Here's another new image:
I have not sent it in yet to be images; I just yesterday got the last coin [ from Heritage ] that I wanted to include in the photographic submission. New Images ...Soon... very soon.
I open my Buddy's coin shop on Saturdays from 12-6pm while he on the road at Shows I get to pick thur the scrap bin.most of the time I get payed out of there.here one I picked out 4-5 weeks ago.
You paid melt for that? VERY well done! That's what I call an "F18" It JUST misses VF but it's a super nice F15. That's one to hold onto.
sometimes yes, sometimes it must have been the grader. I have seen clear AG's in PCGS G-4 holders. naturally, that never happened to me.. no such luck
