I guess you're lucky Chris doesn't gamble with friends. Or should I say Chris is lucky he doesn't gamble because you would have left him broke....LOL

Now I wonder if I ever arrested Shane or Chris while living in Orange County before, now that he says he plays pool and drinks beer. ROFL!

If I had been smart, I would have invested most of my gambling winnings from pool. How many 16 year old kids (1963) do you know who could make $1000 an hour without breaking into a sweat? And, this continued right into my late 20's. I just never grew up!

Nope! You would have had to have been out of your jurisdiction and in Lee County. I don't hide the fact that I got two DUI's when I was a bartender, but the last one was 27 years ago.

I have highlighted the key sentence in red above. With the information given, everyone should have been able to calculate that the maximum win was $1,800. For those of you who guessed that I won more than $1,800, I will forgive you for accusing me of going south in a table stakes cash game in a casino.

The win loss really depended upon how much I re-bought for during the course of the night. As many suspected, I was losing early in the night. Some players will simply pull out cash and put it on the table when they are losing. Cash plays in limit games in casinos. However, I don't ever like to appear short stacked when I play. If my stack falls under $1,000, I immediately re-buy for an additional $1,000. During this night, I was down $2,100 at my lowest point which necessitated a second $1,000 re-buy. That brings my total buy-in to $4,000 and I left the table with $3,800.

Therefore I lost $200 for the night

And here is our winner. Congrats texmech!

Please PM me your address so I can send you the prizes.

A (late) diversion: I really enjoyed everyone's pool stories. Impressive! The Hustler is a classic. I love the game and am not bad, but not near the level of play you're discussing. I can't imagine ever beating Mosconi, unless he were having a pretty bad day. :(

    The Pool Game

Yaeh , I was the talk of Saratoga Springs for a weekend ( and in the backstretch ) and a legend in my own mind, thereafter . LOL. I wound up giving the Cue I won to one of my Nephews , who proved to me he had an Eye for the game . I haven't been on a snooker table or regulation table , got to be almost 30 years now or better.
