just got added to my list of bad APs! NOTICE ABOUT AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL 5 OUNCE SILVER COINS: Representatives will soon begin contacting customers whose names were put on the original waiting list. Contact will be made in the order in which the names were received. Calls will continue while supplies last. No new names are being accepted. Initial inquiries are being attended to first. We apologize but we are unable to accept phone calls regarding these coins. If further information becomes available, it will be posted on this website. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Did anyone else see any update between "Don't call, we'll post here soon" and this one?! edited! Selling these seems so easy to get right if an AP wanted to! What was that AP complaint line at the mint? I really want to mention my experience with some of their APs to them! EDIT! I took out the word "Jerks!" Maybe they posted something and I missed it by not checking every day!
If you feel that possibly your pre-sale's order had been over-looked , by all means contact them directly . I would have any documentation regarding your order at hand during the inquiry call . Trash mouthing a company with their reputation , is ludicrous .
I have no order, I've just been watching the web-site as per their directions. If there was no posting in between the "Watch this spot" post and "sorry, sold out" that seems bad, like maybe there's more to the story! Does anyone know how it was that people were put onto the "original waiting list?"
You add a company to your " Bad " list and your not even making a purchase with them ? You got to much time on your hands.
It seems like you don't understand what I'm talking about in this thread... So how did you get on the original list?
I contacted them when the mint first announced that they would be taking orders. Right after the price gouging scandal
If you have been following the 5 oz. bullion coins' release and understood all the dubious dealing the APs have been accused of you may understand from the OP why Ladies First may have reacted in this manner.
Because I was dutifully watching their website for directions on how they would sell the 5 oz. ATB's and then one day their website just said "Sold Out." It made me feel like checking their website every day was a waste of my time. Doesn't that sound like a bad business strategy if not a bad business? Of course I would check to see if I missed something before I would lodge some complaint with the Mint; that is the purpose of this thread.
By phone? I thought I was on top of it and yet I missed this one. So I guess you're saying that the following post was a total fabrication? (Check the date!) NOTICE ABOUT AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL 5 OUNCE SILVER COINS: We have placed our order through the United States Mint in accordance with their guidelines. All Mint orders are subject to approval. If confirmed by the Mint, we expect to begin pricing and accepting orders January 11, 2011. If more information becomes available before then, we will post it on this website. Thank you for your interest. Read more: http://www.cointalk.com/showthread.php?t=148343&pagenumber=#ixzz1DmbOH1uc
Calm down, i didn't say anything all i said was i got on the list and got my coins. don't bite my head off. i did nothing to you
Sorry! I thought I was using your information to discredit DG! Let me say it more clearly; Based on your ordering experience, doesn't the quoted DG post about how they will begin accepting orders on Jan 11th sound like they were serving baloney to the public?
