I'm going to be sending Morgans in to be graded in the next couple weeks. If I want to save money can I use the economy tier for all even though they may be worth significantly more than $300? Will this influence the grades given to my coins?
I've only sent one coin to them in the past so I would like to see what you 'pros' would say.

    Any info would be appreciated.

    Thanks

One thing for sure is, it won't influence the grades assigned. As for the estimated worth you provide , I'm not certain , but I think that is asked as a formality for insurance purposes , should your coins either be misplaced or lost while in processing for authentication and grading . I'm uncertain to how much emphasis is actually placed in those submission values. It's prudent if you truly know that a certain piece is valued at $1,500 , you would not want to say it's worth only $300.00 It's a good question though.

Okay, thank you. I guess I should've looked closer.

Yea I have over insured and under. Sometimes you think a coin is MS62 and it comes back MS64 and has a huge price jump. It really has no cost effectiveness to significantly underinsure your coins.

It's never a good idea to underestimate the value of a coin just to save on the submission fee. Suppose it gets lost in the mail whether to or from NGC. If you've undervalued the coin, you'd have a harder time justifying a higher value to the USPS. Let's say it is somehow lost by NGC. NGC would only be liable for the declared value. I would rather overestimate the value just to be safe.
