Pcgs grading service

A lot of times when I here about coin grading services is I hear about PCGS. Is this a reliable source?

The top 2 are NGC & PCGS IMHO....you can go to both web sites and check them out.

 

The top two our correct but i think the order should be turned around PCGS & NGC the reason
Being you will most always receive more when presenting a PCGS coin for sale then a one
Graded by NGC.

 

I agree, but if you aren't going to sell, or the values is very close (10% or less), I would go with NGC just because it has better holders. Just my two cents.

Both PCGS and NGC are the major, most reliable TPGs.

is ANACS still around? I always used to hear about them as well.

 

NGC and PCGS are the TPG - in that order (IMHO!). While there are other grading companies, and some quite good (ANACS, ICG, PCI, SEGS, etc), I would stick with the top two.

A question or two that might help us give you a better answer is this....
Are you looking to have coins graded, or are you looking to buy graded coins?
Some grading companies are better at grading one type while others are better at other types of coins -
