I continue on my current ambition to fill the Dansco 7070. Since I cannot afford some of the slots in high grades, at least I can fill some of the more common types with high grade examples.
I know I post a lot of images of my coins. I do this because you guys are the only ones who actually care about coins, so it's nice to show them off and get opinions. Good or bad. I don't have anyone to show them off to in real life lol. My wife just gets upset because I spent money lol.

Here are some of the latest:

    Thanks for looking!

Beautiful V-nickel! All three look great! And feel free to post as many as you want. I can't afford pretty much any in higher grades so on here is the only place I see high grade old stuff. :D

The 1883 looks almost prooflike. Nice coin.

Buff is quite nice too! Appears to have the typical "pee" yellow toning you often see on nickel coins.

Thanks for the kind words fellas. I really like the pee yellow buff myself!

Those are sweet looking coins! One thing I would consider about placing high grade examples into a Dansco 7070 is the album toning that the coins will eventually show is often not attractive. That's just IMHO, mind you.

That is the first time I have heard about dansco album toning! I always hear and see the toning from older whitmans and library of coins etc..
    Now you have me worried!

I like your taste in coins. Keep posting them, I know the feeling about showing family members coins and getting the rolling eyes or the obligatory "thats nice".

Someone put together a nice thread of thier experience buying slabbed coins and then filling a 7070 with "nice" high grade samples.
Then regretting it and sending them back to be regraded.
    Then reselling the reslabbed coins.
Pretty sure it was an expensive experience, with most coins coming back in lower grades and selling for less, some coming back in the same grade and selling for less, a few coming back selling for more.... but net was a loss.
Upshot, the 7070 is a more dramatic and pleasing presentation of coins imo.... but if you fill it with high grade MS coins, be ready to lose a bit of $$.... especially if your cracking ngc and pcgs coins to fill the folder.

I did actually read that post. I am not purchasing any slabbed coins for the 7070 however. I am curious now though how coins will tone in a Dansco. I just assumed they wouldn't.

That would be Illini and his post.
It made me think twice about cracking for a 7070
