Hey guys it's my birthday.

What coin should I buy?

I'm not into morgans or anything like that but it would be nice to own one or maybe a indian head penny?

I have about 500 dollars (13 years old today) and I just need suggestions. Just not anything over about 70 unless you think it's awesome.

You should get a higher grade Indian AU/MS level. It won't set you back much.

I'm 16 and you have more money than me sad haha. I would buy myself a silver mint set of my birthday year. Also Standing Liberty Quarters to finish off my folder set !!

im sixteen as well, but i would probably buy a whitman folder for my canadian pennies, and finish that set, and then probably buy a few wheaties

Save some for college...it's not too early to start. Don't spend it all.

 

Agreed. It is nice to treat yourself once in a while, but keeping money in he bank is never a bad idea

 

So you were born in '98. Definitely a 1898 Morgan Dollar from 100 years before the your birthyear. Hopefully circulated slightly so it has a little life to it. Never know who held that coin before you.

I never got birthdays past 12yrs. A good time to a 13yr old is going to the res and getting tons of bottle rockets and firecrackers and having a war with his friends then gorging on pizza and soda pop. Or, get yourself a awsome squirt gun or that really cool looking nerf machine gun ive been seeing around for 50$. Any laser tag/ video arcades anymore? Just goofing around with friends was the best thing in life at that age. Be thankful you have what you have and try and have some fun with your buddies, these years fly by and your childhood friends and the memories you create just doing nothing will be the ones you cherish most, not some spendy coin. If you live in the snow, have a wicked snowball fight or if in the sun a awesome water balloon fight, dirt clods work just as well too. And if the neighbor girls are around be sure to soak/snowball/dirt clod them as well!

 

First, Happy Birthday . Secondly , I have a difficult time suggesting to anyone what they should or should not indulge themselves with . That said , enjoy the quest , thats the true fun part .
