Well, coinshow is in about a week, so I thought I would do a contest to commemorate the event. I don't know what the prize will be yet, but I promise it'll be a cool item(s) I pick from the show. The details: Ok, the contest will consist of two parts: an entry round, then a puzzle round. To qualify for the puzzle round you must satisfy the requirements of the entry round. Entry round will be 4 days, puzzle round will be another 4 days, unless of course the requirements of each are met beforehand. Entry round: Since I'll be finishing (hopefully) my Franklin set, to be eligible for the puzzle round you must post a Franklin Half. Grade doesn't matter, but I do want to be able to read the date and mint mark...no obverse or reverse only posts. Once a date/mint has been posted, that particular coin is not eligible for repost. For example, if someone posts a '54S, the next person to post a 54S will not be eligible for the puzzle round. Entry round, as stated above will close 4 days from 10AM EST today or once all dates/mints have been covered, which ever comes first. Eligibility: 25 posts minimum to participate, US/Canadian residents only please for I am hesitant for overseas shipping Winner of contest: If you do win the contest I do require you post a pic of the prize, just so it doesn't seem I'm some dirtbag who didn't ship out a prize. Ok, I think that about covers it. Feel free to post the Franklins below and let's have some fun!
Better put up the reverse pick. Original instructions included, "no obverse or reverse only posts". The only Franklin I have is a 1963 Proof but someone already posted a 1963. Damn the luck.
There we have it...the first 3 eligible: d.t.menace with the '54P shoewrecky with the '54S kovu with the '63P Jello, you are close. Just show me the bell lines and you'll be in. Keep them coming!
I have just one comment, for what it's worth! Everyone who chooses to run a contest is always excluding our overseas members, and I think it is a slap in the face to them just because the host is too scared, too cheap or what ever to ship overseas. If you're going to give something away, give everyone a chance to play! Chris
here here. i have run two contests and i have had no hesitation in mailing the prizes to the USA.........
I wasn't posting them for myself. I'm protesting the exclusive discrimination against our foreign members. Chris
