Finished my second box of halves or should I say" halves not". Got two 40%'ers. First box = one 40%'er. Where did my beginner's luck go?

I have several dump banks lined up around where I live and work. Maximum that I'll take into any of my dump banks is 1k worth. I should be able to dump these in a day or two.

 

Nice boxes! You'll be wishing you were getting that when you are on your 10th skunk in a row.

4 slv dimes + a one cent eastern caribbean states out of 200$ in dimes

 

In about 13 boxes, I have found 2 Vs, but they had glue on the backs and had clearly been part of someone's display or something. The same roll had 2 buffaloes.

 

$100 in CWR today yielded 18 40%. A nice haul, though nothing like Mr. Barber/Walker here a few days ago...
Also searched 1/2 box of nickels, found 1x39, 3 from the 40s, and 3 from the 50s.

 

$32 in halves... nothing. Sealed box of nickels... 1 37 buffalo, 2 canadians, 1 45 war, a penny, a 2010p for my album, and 20 pre 60's.

I don't ever recall finding silver 4 days in a row, but that is the streak I'm on this week. Nothing like our new Minnesota poster, but I'm definitely loving the daily silver dose. It is suppose to be snow, sleet and ice tomorrow here in Houston, so I don't know if I'll be able to get to a bank. I want to keep the streak alive.....it is much better than my 13 skunk boxes in a row streak...

I am happy for all you guys, I REALLY AM. My finds lately have just been skunkalicious. Tried a few banks around Tampa this week and yielded TWO halves......92 & 96......yum. picked up about $80 in nickels and dimes at various places..nada.......what's with ALL clear plastic rolls in Florida?

Anyway, glad to hear of the successes of all my roll searching peers....it keeps me motivated.

 

Went to my ol' standby bank that sells me bags. Asked for Halves, dimes, nickels, and cents.

They had too many halves for me to pick up today ($1018! That's three times as much as they've ever had and I was just there two weeks ago...) but the Nickels and dimes were skunkalicious, unfortunately.

The bag of cents is sitting in my car, probably gonna handle that tomorrow.

Gonna get those halves probably Saturday morning, maybe tomorrow morning.

I'm willing to bet they're someone elses dumps. I'd put real good money on it, actually.

 

There's always the chance that it's granny's coins she saved in the 60's...

a few weeks ago, my mother went to the bank to see if they had any half dollars to buy to surprise me when i get home. The bank said that an elderly man had come in and turned in $30 rolls of halves . My mom recognized a few, because $10 of them were loose and then there was a $20 roll, she recognized the ones with "Walking Lady", as she put it into her own words, and knew that was a good sign. I got home and opened up the $20 first, there were; 23 Franklin Halves (oldest being a 1954), 10 Walking Liberty halves (oldest being a 1936), and 7 1964 Kennedy Halves! I WAS FREAKING OUT !!! Then, trying to come to my sences, i opened up an envelope full of the $10 worth of loose halves...they were ALMOST ALL 40% HALVES! with the exception of 3 or 4 1964 Kennedy's, and ONLY 1 1981 CLAD:u*meY:!!! ONLY 1 CLAD OUT OF $30 WORTH OF HALVES!!!! it was a complete dream-come-true! ...if u dont believe me, check out my YouTube video called The "COIN ROLL HUNTING Dream!!! I'm not that fortunate. I called a little while after I posted that and asked the teller to check a few out... she said it looks like all clad.

The reason I don't mind asking her is because her bank has a very strict policy against employees buying bags off the machine... she knows what I do and when I get a good find, I always tell her about it and give her some goodies too.

Went ahead and did that bag of cents... you guys should know I have no patience by now.

Pulled three very nice BU 196x's too, a pair of '61's and a '64. One of the '61's is amazing, easily a 65 imho.

Oh, also, 13 canadians, 7 dimes, and 1 nickel.

 

Box of dimes today, all cwr, got me one canadian, one mexican 10c, and was 30 cents short. Also, my bank called and said they had a box of halves, I wasn't expecting one, so I went a picked it up. Some one else's dump. I checked a couple rolls but it was obvious. Took them back to a different branch two hours later.

 

Just started the initial sort of the newest box of CRW cents. Hit a gold plated 2000 D. Strange
