I was the same age when i started in various forums and 7 years later i work for Heritage, i wish more young guys would get on. There's never a stupid question.

  12. Nope, it's that spot. It's kinda easier to notice on newer cents, because they're cleaner and less worn

Computers are good, message boards on computers even better.

    Here is an example! Llol

ell your bosses their customer service for new members leaves so much to be desired. it flat out socks... They want me to send a credit card statement and a copy of my license in the mail just to change my shipping address.??????? Not only is that an archaic request, it is plain stupid in this day of identity theft. And that is just one grievance. forget about the junk I had to wait 3 weeks after paying to arrive.

Sorry for going off topic. :)

You newbies keep posting and asking. Everyone starts somewhere. Unfortunately, there are some who forget how they started and think they grew up knowing it all and that's not the case.

So keep asking, learning and having fun collecting. Eventually, you will end up teaching someone else later on in time.

Any age is welcome. Its always nice to see a new collector looking for advice, regardless of age. We were all 12 before. I started collecting at age 5. Been doing it for 9 years. I'm 14 and like everyone else, I am here to learn. Rlm's cents guess the grade threads offer me the chance to get better at grading coins. I've only been here for a few months, but in that short time, I have learned alot.

Thanks CT, this forum is the place to be if you are wanting to learn more about coins and paper money, Foreign or US. There's always someone that will know the answer.

Yes, ask questions before buying. There was an older member here a while back that would over-pay for a coin, then come on the forum and ask if he did good. He was buying coins he knew nothing about, then asking questions. I hope he learned something.
