13 dollar coins from 1970's and 8 half dollars most from 1970's and one from 1964. I was just wondering if they are worth face value or what. Thanks.

1964 half is 90% silver (about $10), 65-70 halfs are 40% silver (about $4). A few Ike dollars are silver if 71-76 but not the normal circulation coins.

  4. Sorry, but the dollars are most likely not silver. The only silver ones were issued as collectables. For the halves, the 1964 is 90% silver, so it has about $10.33 in silver in it. Any half from 1965-1970 is 40% silver, containing about $4.22 of silver. The rest, you might get a buck for if they're in nice shape

    Wrong. They're worth face.

Keep the silvers, keep the ikes, because they can sell for a premium on ebay if you have enough, but the rest of the halves (1971 and later), cash 'em in.
