Ok, just the statement that you found $500 worth of 1964 halves had me skeptical, but to claim that a dealer bought them from you for $12000 is too much. Nice story though, wish it were real.

    Great find tonight

I found a 1892 Columbian Exposition Half dollar in a box tonight. I'm in a hotel and don't have any reference materials. I saw some crazy numbers on the PCGS price guide webpage. I posted here to see what grade\value opinions I can get.

The rest of the box was great too!

    Wow, GREAT box Moonshine!!!

    Today I found $51 loose halves: 1 40%er
    Did one box: 1 40%er

That puts me at 998....two more to go to hit 1000 40%ers found.

I also picked up 70 bucks in Ikes....After I check for the 71 peg leg, 72 Type II and silver, the'll go up on the bay and I'll make 10 - 14 bucks.....more budget to buy coins...

Haha, pretty much, dude. For what it's worth, there aren't many good sources out there... the few I've found are absolutely staying secret.
Yeah, I agree... cool story, but not really cool to lie to people.
That is a killer box, Moonshine.

I did another box of cents today... quickly becoming an addict.

Got two rolls of halves today and found a single 40% coin. First silver I've found in awhile. I was starting to lose hope.

Tomkins316, I'm a hopin' that ''82 can't make out the mint mark without a loupe'' is an 1982 NO MINTMART. that would be fantastic.
Okay, okay, I'm taking the plunge. Went to my Citizen's Bank and tried to order my first two boxes of halves. They said they do not order halves or dollar coins. I am miffed to say the least. So I went to my Credit Union, no problemo! They will call me Monday when they should come in. How about that as Mel Allen would say?

Nice score Anubis... most rolls are wrapped by machine, as far as I know.

Sold almost all of my 40% silver halves, $100 face for $750. Nice dude who bought them is looking to buy Morgans at $25 a pop!

Didn't search today... my halves never came.
