Hey that is strange. It's not everyday a ' 58 or 58-D' AU shows up. Alot of people must be dumping there collections or their kids are raiding them. Our wheat finds are quite lucky. Congrats Tommybee!

I hope there's a red wheatie in the only 10 rolls I'll be able to search today.

Just got back from the bank about to start my 1st "official" roll hunt ... just a small one tho:
    4 rolls pennies
    2 rolls nickels
    3 rolls dimes

But I figured it would be really fun and something good to do since I'm about to be snowed in probably lol
I'll post the results (if any) when I'm done

Lucky you, the snow has already started here with a couple inches and lots of sleet/slush/ice... hoping to get out soon to hit up a bank to get some rolls... looks like the break in the storm band is occurring right now in the Philly area.

Are you by Philly too? There was about 3 inches when I went out but the main roads were manageable.

btw here are the results of my first roll hunt:
Nothing at all from the dimes....turned out to be 3 rolls of 2010's

    Nickels:
    1 Ocean View
    2 2005 buffaloes
    1 Louisiana Purchase
3 original buffaloes (can't see the dates though, too worn down)
    1959
    1961
    1964
also 8 from 1970-79 (any worth keeping??)

    Pennies:
    1 Canadian
27 1980-1982 (for the copper bucket)
32 1970-1979 (for copper bucket, unless I should keep any dates, possible errors?)
    1959
1982 AU-55 (probably save it for my folder)
    1975 AU-55 (folder again)
    No mint mark - 1960, 1963 (x2), 1964 (x3), 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968 (x3), 1969
    1969 -D
    1963 -D
    1960 - D AU-50 (maybe)

Is there anything special enough about any of my '60s worth keeping them out of the copper bucket???
My red book will be here Friday so I don't know if any are possibly something special

no mint mark means that it was minted in phillidelphia

Thats what I figured...and I also figured that they weren't worth much or anything special since so many are minted there

Old lady cashed in $500 in halves at the bank yesterday. Teller never looked at them, just saved them for me. I bought them today. JACKPOT! 1000 1964's.

You found 3 buffalos in 2 rolls of nickels? That's a heck of a ratio!

Born and raised in the southern burbs of Philly, yeah. Those three buff nickels, how many rolls did it take you to find them? I think you might be on the remnants of the killer buffalo nickel boxes I got in November. I'd go back and pick up more...

Got a box of dimes, nickels and cents today... cents are for while I'm snowed in tomorrow, the dimes yielded 1 '48, and the nickels a '45-P. Few Canadians too.

I never thought of a photo, sold them too fast. Dealer said all were at least MS60. 12K for all! On a $500.00 investment. Gonna buy gold.

I live in Upper Chichester Township.

You're pretty much a 10 minute drive up I-95 from me, haha. I hunt in your area from time to time... we're officially competition.
