Ah, I see, interesting. I am familiar with the Maundy coins, they are some of my favorite British coins to collect. So this Elizabeth I penny was not gold-plated in an effort to pass it off as an actual gold coin then?
Ah I see, nice... sorry, I should have known that. My British coin collection starts with Charles II, at least that is the oldest British coin I have. I have always like small coins like that, which is why I so enjoyed collecting Maundy coins for so long. Great coins, thanks for sharing.
