Dang, I'm late to the party again. M10, did you wait 24 hrs? It's nice to see both photos to compare the color intensity. Nice coin; I like that sky-blue in the obv. field (as a part of the whole spectrum across the obv.). Not sure if a lot of others do, from the comments I've read here. PS: I certainly would've guessed higher than what you paid!
57 PRF anacs MS67 hint - I paid my max x% toner limit premium on this one.. only because I'm building a set of them, and only because I had just returned from the watering hole prior to seeing it. purchased this year. and btw, shane (or any other toner specialist), I'm still waiting for ya'll to point me to, or post some, nice franky proof toners.... as I've heard said they are relatively common to find.. humfff, I'm finding these are insainly difficult to run down.
I see them weekly on Ebay? The main problem is most folks can't take a good image of proof toners so its really hard to see what the colors look like...They don't seem to go fro strong premiums unless you really get a good image of them and my guestimate of the one you posted would have been $125. I probably saw 5 toned proof frankies that were as nice if not nicer at the FUN show and the prices ranged from $80 to $200 so there out there if you have the cheddar and the patience to find them
I agree with Shane. These coins (mid fifties proof and mint set toners) are not hard to find, but very difficult (proofs at least) to photograph.
I'm with 9ball but will go a little higher because how the price rises with more than 1 bidding , and the toning is very sbtle but nice $625 . rzage Man I hate when you come in on the middle of a thread after pressing last .
Tell the truth the toning on this detracts rather than adds so I'll go $220 . Unless the pics are'nt doing the coin justice which I doubt . rzage rzage
