However the dang edge is scraped away a little! Sorry, but this is as close I can get with my scanner! I might try the 'ol DSLR but you get the idea...
Only 6000.. Man you need to buy a lottery ticket. I have been through probably 600,000 and haven't found one. Nice find..
Wow I didn't think I was that lucky? 6K to me seemed like a huge amount without an error? I guess I did get lucky! Funny I almost missed it! When I first looked at it, it looked flat or otherwise just not right? Pulled out the 10x and I knew I hit pay dirt! Do you guys thank the scrape on the rim was caused by the DDO? or just PMD? I know I getting picky but dang it, if the scrape wasn't on the rim??? BTW: you can't really make it out on the photo, but 'In God We Trust' is doubled as well. The date however is perfectly stamped. Might run out tomorrow and get a full box!!!!!!! I have that funny feeling I'm going to hit a wide AM, and a double ear! --- if these aging eye survive! 40 years with 20/20 and I can see (pun) killing them in the next couple months, cause I got the bug!!!
I was just going to put it in one of the blank slots in my Lincoln Dansco. I should get a small cent blank page cause I got that feeling LOL
That unfortunate scrape is PMD. Thats a shame on an otherwise nice coin. Probably not worth getting slabbed but still a good one for the collection. Nice find!
I looked through just under 125,000 and never found one. You're a lucky man, whatever the condition may be
I know they can be found around me, I live about 20 minutes from where the first one was discovered. I only pull the ones that stick out for a double check, as I can't bother to look for it given the volume of cents I like to go through when I do them.
Thanks Folks, but this DDO had me going back to the bank to pick up a box! Didn't even have to ask because I was standing there with about 35 bucks worth of zinc to give back! Went ahead and picked up a roll of Abe dollars for giggles while I was there! Boy wheatie populations sucks any more! Maybe 1 per roll? BTW: Real easy to overlook that 95! At first glance it looks just smushed.
