Pocket change finds! War Nickel-Nice 1961D Penny

    These two coins were found this week in change. Amazing that there are coins out there like this.:woot:
    A 1944D War Nickel and a truly wonderful 1961d Cent. I usually don't collect too many pennies past 1958 but this displays very clean fields!:)

    Always nice to snag a war nickel. That '61 LMC shows alot of detail for over 60 yrs. old. Would put it in a 2x2, myself.:happy:

    1961 is a cool date, looks the same right side up versus upside down, if they use a nine punch for the 6 as well. 1881 would be a similar year depending on how the 8s were shaped... DSCN4913~3.JPG DSCN4913~4.JPG
    Which is the 6 and which is the 9?
