i'm still buzzing with excitement, never have i had such a find and i don't think i ever will again. up to actually cataloging my finds my favourite was the dutch 2 1/2 cents in zinc that i had been searching for for ages. just goes to show that it is worth trawling through the mounds of junk to find some gems, flea markets have now become my favourite hunting ground for coins and bank notes.
Outstanding!!!! Congratulations, I doubt what the others say though, I still get excited when I run into a little silver in a pile of junk coins
and i always will, the best i had found in the past at a flea market was 10 george VI hong kong 5 cent bank notes for 10p each, i bought the lot and found out that coincraft were selling them in unc for £35 each, as these were all uncirculated i kept one and sold the other nine for £20 each. i have also picked up a 1957 togo 50 francs for 20p, the same note was on ebay a few months ago with a starting bid of $700. but it has proven to me that with a little digging there are still gems to be had for a small outlay.
it is nestling quite nicely in my collection, as i do not believe in slabbing coins it is stored in a lindner tray
