Just a guess: $650. Super-high grade which will proportionally lower the toning premium and I don't have the sense Roosies command a huge toning premium (relative to some other issues).
Rainbow toned Roosies do command a decent premium actually.....However proofs in general do not carry a large premium. I would assume you got the coin for $515
Got it. I need to remind myself that collectors younger than I am didn't grow up with silver roosies in pocket change.
Well no one got it!! I paid $306.15 for the coin. But that could be because Heritage's pictures sucked. http://coins.ha.com/common/view_item.php?Sale_No=1138&Lot_No=8011
That's a good price, less than half pcgs price guide.... The last one I see that sold on HC back in 08' went for over 2x what you paid also, and doesn't have the star.
$70, a premium for the green, a minus for the brown, a premium for the old slab, a premium for 2 sided toning, sorry, I'm just thinking out loud.
The last one I found went for $299. It just does not have his toning. http://coins.ha.com/common/view_item.php?Sale_No=1138&Lot_No=8011 Watch out for crossing NGC and PCGS pricing.
