    Road trip day two:

    Miles covered 140

Found three unopened boxes and around 70 CWR. I ran out of money and had to go home and this was all in the first town I hit.

So far I've pulled one 64 and one 40%

Looks like I'll be busy this weekend :)

    Sweet find with the WAM!

I need to start bringing my tellers some goodies. I'm starting to get the stink eye at a couple of my dump locations.

I went through 12 rolls of quarters, 3 rolls dimes, 5 rolls nickels and 10 rolls of cents yesterday and today. All the CWR's may bank had prior to yesterday's delivery. There were 2 dimes mixed in the quarter rolls. No silver and I believe the rolls were light. Only find was a 1970 S DDO. Having an expert look at pics right now.

Today I visited 5 or so banks:
I found $31 in CWR and loose: One 40%er
Also found $450 in BWR (nearly a whole box) and found 3 40%ers

Not great, but certainly not bad either...I'll try a box tomorrow

That's incredible, every bank I go in the tellers look at me like "what?" You WANT 50 cent pieces, $2bills, $25 in pennies......???? It's like no one has ever asked before....Still they have nothing.....:(

Hit the banks today. Found 1- 40% in a tray and searched $270 in CWR and found 4- 40%. I picked up 4 boxes of nickels to go through over the 3 day weekend.

I'll finally have some free time tomorrow to dump the change I've been holding onto and get a few boxes of nickels/dimes... maybe a bag from my bag bank... yeah, I think I'll do that.

Did 10 rolls of cents. Got about 3 rolls of copper, 3 wheats (51, 54, 55), 2 Canadian (89, 2004). Going to skim through the rest before I dump them. Made myself carsick looking through them in the car :/

OK the 1970 S large date I found was indeed double struck. So it's MD and not worth much. However, I am going to set it aside for now. The restof the copper was normal junk, and I didn;t find any coins nicer than the cents alreay in my set. I think everything must be AU58 by now, as I have looked diligently for upgrades every search.

Man, that's terrific on that much copper. My last 10 rolls had 43 copper coins and 1 Canadian.

This is the most searching I've done since summer...not including searching my mom's change...think I'm going to get back into it for the next week before school starts and do mostly cents and individual rolls...found 2 2009 too, no WAM, or CAM

Not sure what i have here. I just found a 1972 half that looks like a proof silver to me. I think someone posted a similar find awhile back but I can't find the original post.

Far as I know, none of the halves were minted with silver again until the 76 proofs. I didn't think the 72 proof had any silver content but this one has a solid silver rim looks, feels, and sounds like silver. This coin has no visible mint mark either. I'll try and get some pictures later if anyone is interested, trying to figure out what the heck this is!

just finished searching a box of nickels... 1 silver (1943-p, my first from circulation!), 3 canadian, and about a roll of pre-1960.

Forgot the redbook at work, but I think there were some 72D and 74D's that were struck in silver by mistake. Got a scale handy? That would probably be the best way to tell. If nothing else maybe one of the places who buy silver would weigh it for you.

2 silver dimes out of a box, including a 62 I needed for the album.

That puts me at 30/48 for Roosies.

    2 boxes of pennies yielded
    around 20 wheats
    one was a 1920 :)

First time doing pennies, that was pretty fun i have to say, guess they aren't as pilfered as the halves and/or there are older coins because they were mass produced.

interesting fact.. a box of $25 pennies yielded (at least for me) around 30 + - in copper and other metal. wonder if its legal to melt these things down :)

Hey whats CWR and BWR by the way?

Not legal to melt since there's a melt ban (might be lifted in the future.) I'm surprised you didn't get more copper than that. Nice find with the 1920.

Edit: Customer wrapped rolls and bank wrapped rolls
