I put my 1891 morgan in my pocket this morning, hopeing maybe it would bring me good luck. It was a lucky find so why not? Anyways, here in beautiful southern indiana we got about 3 inches of snow. I work on a garbage truck for the city in which i live, so im outside no matter what the weather. I busted my A** 6 times! That never happens! Coincidence?? or should i have left my coin at home safe in the safe? Just thought i'd share. Haha

We got about three inches of snow in NW Indiana today. I didn't fall once, so maybe a Morgan in your pocket is bad luck. My dad lived in New Albany for a while.

There are quite a few collectors who will carry around a pocket piece from their colletion, but if you busted your butt 6 times, then I think Liberty is trying to tell you that is no way too treat a lady. Leave her home where she will be warm and comfortable.

What? Three inches? We recieved six on the OH border! To the original poster...size isn't everything. Try a nice circulated Merc in the wallet! My 1919 has served me well!

Well now some would say that falling six times and not breaking any bones would be good luck.

I've got a 1962 D jefferson nickel with a hole in it so i can carry it on my key-chain.. Not an expensive coin but it has sentimental value.. My grandfather had it holed and carried it on his key-chain until it was passed to me by my father..

If you think the things that happened today had anything to do with luck
And the coin in your pocket is Un-Lucky. Then you are absolutely right
    The Coin is Un-Lucky.

If you think is was an accident the first fall and got it in your head that
that this has never happened to me before. What is the one thing that is different
Ahhh The Coin. It has to be.
It is just a matter of changing the thinking in your head. It becomes a self fulfilling
    prophesy.

But now that you have doubts about the coin it is darn near impossible to erase
those prejudices of that coin. Leave her at home. And at some other time find
another coin to carry that you can think neutrally about.
After all it is just a coin. And we make our own luck with the way we think.;)

I personally carry a walking liberty instead for good luck (not a Morgan person). You do as you please and maybe Mer Crazy will show it to us when he does find it.....LOL

I agree, no broken bones, no blood - it's a good day. This comes from the guy that has said on more occasions than I can count, I'm not really working unless I have bled. Sad but true. I seem to lose or give away every piece I carry, so I stopped. Maybe you were distracted by the fact that you were carrying it. Like you said, maybe better to leave it home.

    Good Luck!

Another hoosier here. I will test the Morgan theory soon - heading to vegas. I reckon an 1889 would work well.
