I won the only item that I bid on, I now wish it had been sooner in the auction. I got it for much less then I was willing to pay so I now have money burning a hole in my pocket.
I feel ya on that one...had I known that things were gonna end up this way I would have bid differently on other coins.......nice note btw~~~~
I won a toned morgan on the last day.... figured I'd spend a bit of the dedicated throw away $ I had reserved for FUN given that I had won nada to that point.... Pretty sure it's one that had lived in a post on the forum before,,, there were two that looked like toners I had seen on the forum before.... maybe Lehigh morgan toners, dunno. In either case I figured wth, and just kept hitting "bid" until the action stopped..... think I landed around 5 to 6x, or something like that..... Ahhhhh, like my buddy told me when I was talking about getting a new bass boat.... if you like standing naked in shower under cold running water throwing $5 bills down the drain,, then your ready for a bass boat.... or toners imo ; ) Anyway, here't is ,,, looks like a 3 yr old painted it with a green highlighter.... we'll see when it gets here I guess,..... solicits either a "wow", or an "omg, i'm gonna puke".... interesting piece.. looks AT all the way to me.... but cool. I'll put it under nuclear lighting when it gets here and see if I can't turn those gray fields into some type of amazing color for ya'll... Looking forward to Long Beach,, eyes on a few in that one already,,, but after this one, I'm not holding out too much hope... may just wind up back on the 'bay with two fists full of $,, which is FUN too.
Hi, I bought two coins at fun. The best was a 1798 one dollar large eagle PCGS VF35 R4. The coin went for $2300 plus buyers premium. I bid on over 20 coins and won 2. When it comes to outstanding coins you can throw the GRAY SHEET out the window. But I enjoy the Fun show every year. Can't wait til next year. Jim
