    I went with $250 in customer wrapped rolls today instead of a box and they proved to yield more finds. I found the following:

    *4 silvers: 1958, 2 1962-D's, 1964.
    *2 Canadian: 2001 and 2006.
    *An English 5 Pence coin.
    *A Spanish 5 Pesetas coin.
    *My first proof I found in circulation, a clad 1993-S.

    Some coins were only minted in proof. Most of the coins with an S mint mark, for example. Even in circulated condition, you know that those must have been broken out of proof sets or otherwise entered circulation by accident.

    A proof is the way it is manufactured, not condition. Any Kennedy Half Dollar with an S mint mark is a proof. So, if someone broke it out of it's packaging and spent it, it would become an impaired proof. I have found about 80 of them or more.

    I'm calling a proof a proof. That year the S mint mark was only used on proof coins. As far as how I got it from circulation I have no idea. I also found a 1987 S half proof in circulation before. They jump right out since they're about 20x more reflective than a normal coin.

    JustinHoward- AWESOME FIND! Out of a box of pennys no less!

    When I have an extended vacation, I often go back to my hometown in the States. The tellers at my hometown bank don't go through large deposits of coins-- they just dump them into a counting machine, so the occasional silver coin slips through.

    Just wrapped up a box of cents and a box of nickels. Nothing mindblowing like an 1830 half dime, but solid boxes.

    Here's my results;

    Cents;
    30%-35% copper (Slightly over average)
    14 Wheats (Almost double average)
    1935
    1938
    1944 x2
    1946 x2 including an XF+ RB. Should clean up nicely.
    1946-D
    1950
    1951
    1951-D
    1952-D x2
    1953-D
    1957-D
    8 Canadians from 1965-1992
    None of my beloved 1960's RD. :(

    Nickels;
    3/4's roll pre-60's.
    5 war nickels
    1943-P x3
    1944-P
    1945-S
    Bermuda 5 cent
    Swiss 20 rappen

    Just did $350 in Quarters and skunked. Looking for Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Silver.

    Anyone else have any luck with Quarters? I've never found any silver while looking through quarters or dimes.

    Hot dog, Merc! Did you pull all five from one box?
