What is your take on this?

    It may have been the '37 that was modified. Too much going on between the 3 and the 1 to even consider taking a chance on it. Guess everyone else thought so too. No bids.

    I don't know either but the gap between the 3 and the 1 seems to be much larger than the two examples I have. It is very difficult to tell by the photo for certain.

    No bid from me. May be real. Not sure. Somewhat thinking maybe the 1 got dinged somehow. But I agree with sro114, that gap does seem large.

    Modified 1938-S imho. I can almost see the outlines of the original date if I stare hard enough, ha.

    I agree-- that space between the 3 and the second 1 is just screaming "alteration". And the second 1 is bent.
