Due to the commonality of mint set toners from 1957 & 1958 and the fact that the mottling on the obverse would turn off a lot of potential buyers, I will guess that this coin sold for only 5X wholesale.

    I guess $75.

    While we're waiting,, a lil' min-thread hyjack.

Just a passing thought but, in dealing with coin security (theft specifically), as anyone else given thought to the potential benefit of owning toners vs. blast white (or normal'ish color).
In deciding what to place in the bank and what to keep at home, this is one aspect I have thought about. I generally put my higher $$ normal looking coins in the bank, as well as a few higher $$ toners,,, but assuming a theft and considering recovery and considering you do due dilligence and get the stolen item's pictures circulated,,,, Wouldn't it be a heck of a lot easier to identify a striking toner that hits the 'bay or goes to a show or dealer stock, than to run down a nominal sample ?

Anyway, just a thought,,,, "toners add theft recovery benefits to your collection !!" ?
