That's a shame and I would be madder than a fly trying to get off of fly paper!! A simple tracking number doesn't cost that much and maybe that would have helped. It would've at least shown that the coins were mailed out to you. Oh well, I hope you get your money back. I've been on this forum for a couple of years and I've had plenty of good transactions. I hope to continue doing business with the guys I know and trust! There's always a bad apple in the barrel and it always sucks when something like this happens. good luck!!

update: still waiting on the copy of the cashed MO... After I get it I'm going to persue all legal means I have available to me to recover not only the money I sent, but all expenses.
Maybe I can buy a Mercury dime....every day that goes by, I get a little less patient and a little less happy.

Once again, I think you not only have a right, but an obligation to name this person here, so others don't fall prey to a similar situation with this individual. I would also post not only their screen name, but their true name and location . You have provided them every opportunity to rectify this situation with you and it seems very evident this individual is not going to make this right. Out this individual now.

Seriously, something like this csn eat at you and become very toxic for your well being. sometimes, it's just better to walk away and try and forget that you may have been victimized. Your frustration and anger hurts you more than it does anyone else, but it can spill over to negatively affect those around you. Consider it a poorly placed wager that you lost. Just don't repeat the mistake. This is advice learned from a lot of years of anger and hurt over things like this. Believe me, it's best to let it go and move on.

appreciate the words - just not gonna happen
I was stolen from and I have legal rights that I can pursue to make it square.
Like I said, no one wanted this to be resolved more then I, and I was more then generous with him to make it so.
I'm hardly angry, disappointed - yes, but I won't roll over just because.

I didn;t mean for you to roll over necessairily, just take care of yourself first. You may be better at handling these things than I am. If I don;t walk away at some point, it becomes too toxic. Then my real problems begin.

Yes, but all we have is a screen name and not his real name and address. Which is what we need to protect ourselves from this individual.

Not so much this individual as this situation. Peter put this out as a warning to give people here added knowledge to protect themselves from bad situations. Just because a person becomes a member of a forum, does not mean they are not a crook. I know I am not alone in swapping with members who never returned anything. Certainly, we don't have the added protections here as does eBay and PayPal, so we need to use extra caution. Especially with bigger ticket items. As stated, what's a screne or user name anyway ?

Time to do some "research". :)

Is that the name you put on the Money Order?

I don't usually address MO's when I mail them....the canceled one will have all the info I need. Still waiting for it...

Oh, you sent an un-addressed , un-assigned money order . That kinda puts a whole other spin on things .

no it don't - don't portend to make this my fault. I trusted someone to sell me goods that I paid for like I've done a thousand times before. It's no different in this case then any other. The canceled MO will tell the tale....call it what it is - theft.
Like I said, I'll do all I can to recover my money. If I am unsuccessful, so be it. The only mistake I made was trusting someone.

Not your fault you got ripped off, but not assigining a money order means that anyone can take it. That kind of leaves it open to theft. I mean there are so many fake IDs that would pass the scrutiny to cash it, it's beyone belief. When I worked on construction sites in Las Vegas, I was often the only person there who did not have a fake ID or several of them. Now the question might be asked if the intended party ever got the money ? He likely did in this case, but you can understand the problems it sould cause if someone never got their money.

But hey, our brains are genetically programmed to learn from mistakes. We all make them and, thankfully we don't often repeat them.

It's going to make it more difficult to validate your claim. I hope it work's out for you, really I do.
