Attached is a one dollar bill i've had for 10 years. I noticed it had two serial numbers which made me assume it was a miscut sheet. How much would this be worth?
While I'm no expert in currency/FRN's, it would seem like this would be easy to reproduce from the uncut sheets the mint sells.
Indeed these are easy to fake from uncut sheets and are all the time. They appear on eBay frequently. Send it in to PMG or PCGS Currency for authentification.
Maybe Numbers or Lettow can confirm this.... but, I think in this series and district anything above #96000000 were sheets. If that's the case then your notes were faked errors. No value to them.
i take it that my bill must be a fake according to uspapermoney.info, darn! $1 SERIES 2001 (signatures Marin-O'Neill) Block Sheet serial range Skip -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- B..A 99232001 - 99648000?? 13000 [Ebay: E? 99397705, F? 99410705] [also reported: E1 99285790] I..A #1 99210001 - 99690000?? 15000 [reported: E2 99403973, F2 99418973] [also Ebay: F1 99294188; starts btwn 99209-99219] I..A #2 98410001 - 99210000?? 25000 [Ebay: A1 98416355, H4 99191355] [also reported: F3 98948825] [also rept: D4 99103691; end is btwn 99204-99216] K..A 99220001 - 99700000?? 15000 [Ebay: 99614720, 99629720; also rept A1 99227095] [also rept: A3 99345193; starts btwn 99213-99225] L..A 99200001 - 99999999 25000 [reported: A4 99821605, B4 99846605] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for the info krispy, Matafy
I had gone to the local surplus store located right outside gate 3 or north gate to buy some gear and noticed it on the registers counter. I happened to comment on it and the man said "here have it for buying some gear." I never gave it much thought till now.
