Make future suggestion to u.s. mint

i hope the u.s. mint will continue to rotate its 50 statehood quarters program. after finishing the 50 statehood. why not just continue to produce 50 states official seal, or 50 state flowers, or 50 state birds, or 50 state famous spot. or turn the face of washington to another angle.

I wonder if the Mint reads anything here or attempts to communicate with them. Sort of like politians listening to anyone. They should take all people off coins and go back to things like standing liberty. Changing what is on a coin frequently will deminish coin collecting the same as it did with stamp collecting, sports cards, beanie babies, hot wheel cars, etc. Making additional denominations of coins for circulation only confuses people in stores, markets, general buisnesses. Changing anything in coins will hurt many organizations that deal with machines that take coins such as vending machines, slot machines, etc. However, it may be time for a Donald Duck coin.

 

We need a new dime -- Roosie's as SO boring. The only interesting ones are the silvers and 1996-W.

 

Imagine a yearly set of unc American Silver Eagles with the P,D,S & W mintmarks encapsuled and with a COA!

The US Mint needs to mint coins to the standards of the Royal Canadian Mint. The Canadians are far ahead of the US in minting coin technology and quality.

Also, the MInt should have more say in coinage designs instead of politicians. These long drawn out coinage deisgn programs like the 50 State Quarters and the Presidential dollar program are bad ideas. Shorten up the programs and make them interesting.

 

Its not hard enough to already spot legal quaters witht he very poorly designed state coins? I mean, really. The Mississipi coin is so hard to see I couldn't figure it out in mint state with a 10X magnifying glass.

i suggest that the u.s. mint start to case the mint satin finish set. instead of traditional cellophane type of protection. or producing both type for collectors to choose from.

i think the u.s. mint should issue some more silver half dollar modern commemorative coins. the dollar were too many. i also dislike the clad half dollar.

 

Hire quality control people so they do not send out spotted Sac dollars!!

 

That could also be a problem Picture an Ebay scammer taking a 1999-s silver proof set and filling it with 1999 clad coins and scamming people, or filling it with shiny buisness strike coins and scaming newbies. But It would be nice for honest people!

It would have to be a $20.00 coin. You can't have the coins value near the metal's value.

In fact, over time that is not a safe value. It would need to be a $50.00 coin to withstand the curent price fluctuations in silver.

i hope the mint will reduce its prices for the silver proof set, proof set and mint set. because the 2006 sets reduced one nickel for silver proof and proof set. and two nickels for mint set.

now that the mint produced wrapped rolls for dollar, half, quarter and nickel. why not producing wrapped rolls for dime and penny to complete it?. isn't it the dollars and halves are no longer issued for general circulation?.

i wish u.s. mint will put up stores in new york city area, san francisco, los angeles, boston, houston and some other large cities. so that people can go there to buy and shop mint products. instead of concentrating one store at philadelphia.

since mint set will be composed of satin finished coins. now and in the future. why not just put four cases to it. so it can protect those coins. just like silver proof set and clad proof set. well the cost is understandable to be near clad proof set. just like the modern commemorative coins.

silver proof set: $37.95, two plastic case, 10 coin.

clad proof set: $22.95, two plastic case, 10 coin.

mint set: $39.95, four plastic case, 20 coin. coins must be gem satin finished. like the uncirculated silver commemorative dollar. ms-65 quality and above. or else it will cost only $24.95
