I guess the ikes are rare i've not seen many and to get 15 at one spot was cool :)

Wife just texted me and shes headed to get a few boxes of 50's now :)

No, a type-2 1972 is a variety... the islands on the globe on the reverse were mushed up by what I can only assume is overpolishing of the die. I've found two myself, they're fun to cherry pick and worth a decent amount over face.

Great pic of what it looks like...

I dump at BB&T and sometimes dump at RBC. Need to start splitting my dump sites up some.

Maybe NC/SC isn't as good hunting as I was thinking...

    Topeka, KS? :p

CWR's are pretty good in my area, boxes on the other hand..............

Working on my fifth skunk in a row now.

Awesome! Even though it's not a gem it always picks me up when I find something like that after buying a cup of coffee. Win/Win!

$600 in rolled quarters today, no silver. I think I'll stick with halves. Two of the bank branches didn't have any rolls of halves, hence the quarters. Time to order some more boxes of halves.

    2 boxes of halves:

    4 - 90% JFK
    1 - Franklin
    41 - 40% (3 enders)

I'm very thankful for these finds. Guess I'm one of the few that are still getting good boxes.

I hate that the Philly area was absolutely hammered a while back. Hate it.

Found a RB '58 wheatie in a till today. That was a nice surprise.

A few weeks ago I bought another sealed bag of Canadian 1963 cents for just over face. I opened it with the hopes of finding a nice error. Nada. Nothing but handfuls of shiny copper coins with black fingerprints all over them! Must have been Kentucky Fried Chicken day at the mint.

Statistics mean nothing applied to an individual scenario; I don't agree with discouraging him. Sure it isn't likely he'll find one, but if it was likely to find they wouldn't be very anomalous, would they? He gets an edge on collectors, and whether that's overkill or not, he increases his odds. Nothing wrong with extra effort to increase one's opportunities

Talk about a score. I'm going to spend all banking hours tomorrow buying and returning. Doubt I'll get even close to what you did but will still be fun. You hit the motherload on two boxes, partner. Pat yourself on the back and buy yourself a steak.

Either that or in CT. Boxes are dynamite there.
