GB penny looks fake?

    i have a 1916 penny, and it looks kinda fake, it has like a gold tint on the tails side, and on the head sideit has the same gold tint around the outtermost 3 mm then the rest looks like a dirty silver color, could it be fake?


    and ps, does anyone know about korean bills?

    Nobody would want to fake them because there worth so little in the numismatic world.

    There's some information in the link below about counterfeit pennies. There have been many fakes made of British pennies and according to the article, most of the older ones were made of lead. The other thing to consider is maybe your penny had been plated at one time and it's just the plating that has worn off.
