I tried selling BU rolls of presidential dollars on craigslist and ebay. For near face value. No one wanted them, so today I cracked them out of the wrappers and put them all in my cup holder in the car. Using them for lunch, gas, whatever. These babies are beautiful too. Oh well! If I am willing to use them like this, how can I expect anyone else to buy them I suppose.

Well, they don't circulate. Part of numismatic life. I guess just cope with it.

Yeah you're right. It is pretty funny to see the look on some peoples faces when I give them a handful of gold treasure.

What about the look on their face when you explain to them that they aren't really gold?

I assume that you checked them for errors before you started spending them.

You are doing you part.........spend them more and more people will become knowledgable about them.

Chris makes a valid point. Check 'em for possible errors before spending them. The most obvious is a lack of edge lettering......:)

Yeah, edge lettering is a good think to look for.

Why would someone buy what you can get at the bank for no transaction costs?

I'm pretty sure you can't get the 2 roll box set from the bank. Let alone from a few years ago.

I have seen some, not slabbed for around $30. Slabbed will go from $50-$200, depending on the president.

What's funny is no matter how much the new ones get dumped into circulation... they don't STAY in circulation!

I hate opening my uncirculated coins to. I tried selling some for a while not even one offer so i just used them all and got done for asking dollar coins. Still looking for the Abraham Lincoln coin though :D!
