I can understand the interest for a birth year. My partner is just a teen still. So, his year was much to modern for my humble collection. I also asked him for the birth years of his parents (both much younger than myself). Turned out I had items issued on his parents birth year. I feel like they will be well received. I had a mint set on order that might be of cmans birth year, but it still is not here. So I sent another item that I think will go over well.

My only regret, I forgot to include the 100,000 bar of candy as a sort of stocking stuffer. I had a few on hand, but apparently had eaten them all. Oh well. The box is taped shut and has stamps on it ready for a trip to the USPS counter. I might be sending with signed receipt to be on the safe side.

Camlov2 and I were partnered up for the gift exchange. I received the gift today in the mail and it's awesome! I wasn't going to open it until Christmas but I couldn't wait and ripped it open.

    Here it is:

    Philip I 244 - 249 AD

    AR Antoninianus mint in Roma
    Obverse:
    IMP PHILIPPVS AVG
(Philip I, Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right)
    Reverse:
    ANNONA AVGG
(Annona standing left, holding grain ears over galley prow and cornocopia)

Glad you like it, buying coins for others can be stressful! Fun, but stressful.

I only mailed my gift to cman yesterday. I think he and I agreed to wait until both had their gift in hand. It is getting exciting. I hope my partner likes his. I sent him some of my favorites.

I got my gift today, my wife opened it.

I come in the door and she says "There was a package marked photos (don't bend), I opened it and it was a $20 bill"

More then just a $20, it is a 1929 bill from a SF bank which I collect.
And my first graded SF bill as well.

Thanks for a great gift! I am ready for the New years exchange!

How cool. Neat story. Glad it was in a graded sleeve. Some wives would have spent it. Lovely Note!

:angelbounce: Merry Christmas everyone! I opened my Secret Santa gift last night (couldn't stand it any longer) and I want everyone to know that Santa nailed it! He and his elf sent me the nicest assortment of 'goodies' one could imagine. I still can't quite grasp it all, I am so overwhelmed! I am out of town beginning very early tomorrow morning (Christmas) so can't post pictures yet. But when I return in a few days, I will share with all of you what Santa and his elf sent me! Best of all, the true spirit of Christmas shines right through my gift -- they gave me what meant something to them, and I am tickled pink right now! Humbled actuallly. How kind..
    Merry Christmas, Jody (Jallengomez!)
