I would vote to the mod's that they add an additional rule to the site, where as any non mod member acting as a mod would have his comments deleted, and be hence forth titled Troll under their name. ROTFL ;)

Everybody tries to keep a perfect feedback record on e-bay but one neutral or negative
Can crumble an empire, What should be done before a neutral or negative can be left
Is a e-bay panel should review the transaction before the feedback is left just a
Suggestion, i left e-bay long ago because of this same B>S

Thank you for the Public Service, raider! That pin head is a real piece of work. Sorry that happened to Pilkenton. That Franklin is a beauty, and a fine value for $18.05 and postage.

Looking at the guy's record tells me he likes to complain.

I can leave a positive feedback, but can also give him a piece of my mind if I do. Should I do that?

If it's going to make you feel any better, which I doubt it won't . It's unfortunate that your in this situation, but with all the idiots trolling EBAY , count yourself lucky it has not happened to you before .

    This sucks.

Appeal it. I had one bozo give me negative feedback because he wanted to pay with a check and all I said was, you know, it is free to send money via paypal...

I appealed it, and Ebay removed it so I still have a 100% rating. I hope it goes well with your case.

Has anybody looked at my coin on raider's link? Do you see any extreme toning on it like the guy complained about?

To the buyer's credit the pictures are very dark, and it is a toss up on that obverse. The reverse looks fine.
Since you are here and taken the situation, the fact that I've gotten your side of the story, along with feedback that buyer has left for others, I believe you are definitely in the right here.

Yes, I have. To be honest, it looks like a nice coin but since the picture is slightly dark (especially the obverse photo) it's hard to tell if the coin is tone or not. However it does not appear to be extreme toning whatever that means, imho. If I was concern about toning on this coin, I would had asked for better pictures before bidding.

I understand this is bothering/upsetting you, but at this point I would suggest to just let it go and enjoy the holidays and family. You have done everything you can that is in your control.

To be honest, it's not bothering me in the least. I've had lesser issues than this on ebay that's stressed me more.

As for the toning, if it was extreme I would have said something. If it was blast white I would have said something. Franklins tend to get that distinct toning. They look dirty. They look like they belong in some dingy tavern in the 1950s. If it was extreme either way I would have said something. Who cares.

I know what you're saying - I think most would agree that toning is not the issue...it's just a ploy to get over on and scam decent people. Trust me, I've been there too.

    A Great Description!!

You had me in stitches with your appropriate description: "They look like they belong in some dingy tavern in the 1950s."

For those who can't relate to the description, the attached image is of an MS63 PCGS certified Franklin, which I provide to buyers that complain about Franklin halves not being "mint state".

The clouded image doesn't properly convey the scratches/dings/carbon-spots.
The shock value to a whiner is awesome viewing. :thumb:

While I don't agree at all with the actions of the buyer and I think it is absolutely reprehensible to ruin an E-Bay sellers perfect rating over an $18 item, your photos are absolutely terrible and are the cause of this entire episode. If you provided your potential buyers with clear accurate photos of the coin, this would not have happened.
