I just got an email from the US Mint stating that the 2011 silver proof set, regular proof set and mint set will all go on sale 1/4/2011. This is amazingly early in the year. Help me out here. The 2011 uncirculated mint sets will not longer be satin finish but regular business strikes. How can the mint release these 2011 uncirculated mint sets prior to the actual release dates of some of the individual coins contained in that set (i.e., ATB quarters)? TC
Yeah I got the email from the mint last night and was wondering the same thing. I guess this mean they won't be missing and deadlines for release dates this year
Set comes the warning, "releasing ATB quarters into circulation prior to the official release date of said quarter will result in a fine of $10,000, or six months in jail, or both"..........
The picture that accompanies the email actually depicts the 2011 coin sets. It could be photoshop of course but will be interesting to see how this plays out. TC
