Permanant solution to a temporary problem.
His family are the only ones to feel sorry for.

  3. This is never the right answer.

I am incredibly dissapointed, not only the fact that this happened but the cause why it happened. Some people should be ashamed of themselves.

That's pretty cold. If you had known him perhaps you would feel differently.

You know, this thread is really starting to go down hill, because of not only the recent insentive comments by a few, but also by the ones trying to get all the juicy details if this guy jumped from a bridge or what ever.
What a shame...its my wish that the mods delete this whole thread. I think its worthy of it..

Barring the insensitive remarks, I believe this thread allows friends who knew and loved Cameron, an outlet to express their grief and mourn a fellow collector and friend.

No, I don't believe it should be locked or deleted, rather, it should stand as a lasting tribute to the man.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Absolutely not. The posts questioning whether or not this is real, and wanting to know details, are those, like me, who knew Cameron (if only just barely, or incidentally). We are in shock that someone so smart, so knowledgeable, so young, and with such a beautiful family would do a thing like this. My thoughts and prayers are with his family in the midst of this tragedy, and I can only hope that their grieving is alleviated by all our good wishes.

  10. The Collector's Universe forum is trying to remove any trace of his existance from their forum. While some of the insensitve comments should not have posted, there is absolutely NO reason that this thread should be deleted or even locked.

I get where you are coming from but I like Hobo feel that he was a great guy. Very smart and excellent grader. I know he taught me plenty about coins and at such a young age too.

I am saddened for his family but also that it came to this for him as there was a great life lost.

Like Dollar this is bothering me quite a bit. It definitely leaves my heart heavy during this time of year.

The finast tribute you can give a man is remembering him as he was. You fellows knew and loved this person. He'll live on. He's not dead as long as he exists in the memory of only one of you......

Never knew the man. Sounds like a cool dude.

In my most recent coin show, it was interesting to see the dealers and their wares. For a few of them, it was a husband and wife team working the booth. Making it as a coin dealer, in today's market, has to be tough. You have to have a business plan and business sense. The pressures on this man had to have been a lot. I cannot fathom living my lifestyle off of the profit margins of coin sales at a show or selling sub-$20 coins to collectors (like my dad) looking for that G or VG coin to complete a set. Let alone fathom living the lifestyle of a family man to support a family being a coin dealer. Wow.

    :(

Fair enough and the above seems to be the preferred norm. I never knew this guy either, but thats not to suggest that I don't get emotionally attached to what happened, nor the comments and condolences being thrown around.
Im not a fan of censorship in these forums, but I can tell you one thing, In future I'm going to tread lightly in reading of posts of this nature in this particular forum or avoid them altogether.
I just think a better spin or feel could have been maintained with the whole thread, in respect for him and his family.
I'm sorry, I just see too much gossiping and the like going on with a few of you...stuff that typically is saved for the women folk on Wednesday afternoon bridge club get-togethers.

I offer my sympathy to the friends, family, and entire numismatic community due to the unexpected death of a well-respected, good-natured, and fellow hobbyist. He will be missed.
