Found: 3 2010-P Nickels, 2 2010-P Dimes, and 1 2010-P Cent today in a mix of $22 in CWR from the bank.
First 2010's I've found around here. Of course I don't search very often now a days.
Saw nothing older than 1960 as I was going through the rolls. No silver.

Finished $100 in halves customer wrapped rolls and found nothing.

Anyone searching in South Dakota? I am going there to visit family and thought I might get a box of halves.

    Nice find!

My area is definitely hot right now with customer roles.

Stopped in to three banks today got three customer roles and found.

    1 - 90%
    11 - 40%

Only five of these came from the roles, the rest were in teller trays at all three banks.

Teller trays! That's a heck of a strike. I always see them but talk myself out of asking for them when I'm cashing in. Maybe I won't be so quick to hold out now. Great find! I'd be at that bank every other day, lol.

Pardon me for asking, but what do you do with all those halves if you only find a few rolls of them from a few banks? Do you just take it to a bank and dump it back on them after taking out the silver? Or do you put it somewhere else?

Most of the time I'll take all of the haves so if I call that bank again in a couple of weeks and they have some I know there fresh. I have three dump banks that I use in a different city from where I order my boxes and do most of my hunting. I never dump back to banks where I have had good finds or a good relationship with the tellers.

I never skip the teller trays. I need to start a running total on how much silver I get from tellers. Pretty sure I'm over twenty 40% and 1 64 in about two weeks time.

Off topic slightly, but I was at a casino here in Vegas yesterday and they had bags of coins underneath a counting machine ready for pick-up. I asked if they would sell me one of the bags or some of them and they told me no. They pay for the coin handling service, but no explanation was given as to why they wouldn't sell me one. Go figure ?

Last time I hit a teller tray and they had more than $5, I pulled a '57-D Ben and the bank next door had a roll with 11 1964's... freakin' awesome score.

Nothing since then. Just got up to North Jersey about 30 minutes ago, me and the lady are gonna hit up some places tomorrow and see if we can't strike it rich.

I picked up a box of halves that turned out to be the 12th shutout in a row as far as silver. However, almost the entire box was about 60% AU/BU looking 1971D halves (Someone obviously dumped a ton of rolls) 30% 1972-1974 and about 10% other mixed in. If only the 1971's were a couple of years older alas. Anyway, any premium on 1971D's in great condition?

    Thanks,

    Erin

Not that I know of Erin.......and you are approaching my thread record of 13 straight shutout boxes (I think it is still a record). I broke my streak on the 14th roll of the 14th box......

Well I am finally finished with that pile of Quarters, Dimes and Nickels I posted a few days ago. I found a few to fill some folder holes of all three denominations. There was NO silver, in fact nothing predating 1965, not even a nickel. This is the coolest thing that I found. It is in kinda rough shape and probably not worth anything, but I like it. "1989 Quarter - no mintmark".
