Loving my clear-wrapped boxes of dimes.

    1 Merc, '37 and 2 silver roosies, '51 and a '54, all Philly minted.

I wish my bank did clear wraps. :/

I just chuck the paper ones in the fire place!

I burn the boxes, but the plastic gets recycled. On occasion, I'll get paper-wrapped from Wachovia/Wells Fargo or some smaller banks, but TD is easiest to get change from. No questions asked, they just hand it over.

Two boxes of halves waiting at the bank for me. It's funny the feeling of anticipation that never grows old!

    Christmas present from loomis

Finally got a decent 2 box score from loomis:

    Bens - 5 (1 Bender)
    1964 - 7 (1 Kender)
    40% - 21

I found 5 proofs in 1 roll in my last box...unfortunately they were all too damaged to keep.

It AMAZES me how many times you post that you found a Merc............Why can't I have the thrill of finding just ONE!

    lol

    Congrats.

I opened a box of halves today, 1 40%er and 1 90%er (64). Funny thing was that I found these two within the first 3 rolls, so I thought I was gonna have a great box.......hey, at least it is better than Skunklic Toast.

    Sweet box!!!

But what is a "Bender" and a "Kender?"

Bender - Ben half on end of roll.
Kender - 90% kennedy on end of roll.

OH! Thanks. I LOVE Benders and Kenders. :)

So a Prender would be a proof at the end of the roll then, eh? And a Walker a Wender?

Barber a Barbender? Seated a Seatender?

Doing a box of nickels now... found my first V-Nickel, and yes, I gasped audibly when it fell out of the roll. 1908.

Done the box. That was the one major notable find, other than a '45-S war Nick. Really thought I was gonna get a box without a foreign coin, but one just had to come out of the last roll.

Canadian... 1989. Was cleaning out the dime rolls when a 1996 Panama decimo caught my eye. So add that to the list. About to get started on the cents, but won't finish those until prob. after Christmas since I'll be outta town.

That is so funny. I gasp audibly everytime I find a Walker and I did the same when a EF/AU Buffalo fell out of a nickel roll. Glad I'm not the only one!

    :)

Haha, yeah, I was sitting right across from my girlfriend who goes, right on cue "Did you find a Canadian or something?" [IMG]
